Art at the X
Abstract and White Sands are showing at Xavier University in Cincinnati. The opening reception is Friday evening. Details are in the image below and you can find more information on the web. Thinking of that, I’ve got a new web site up for my photography. You can find information on all my current shows and those that I’m currently working on at: http://www.samfee.net/photography/.

Harry Potter and DRM
I finally got to see the concluding film of the Harry Potter series last week - very well done. I was particularly pleased with the storytelling, even if it departed from the text - that was a hard story to tell visually and they did a great job of it. On a related note, this October will see the release of a new web presence for the potter books. What is most exciting though is that they ebooks will be released DRM-free. That means I can read them on any device I choose (Apple, Amazon, or Android, etc.) without having to go through the labor of stripping out the DRM before I can move the files around. This is the way it should be!

Hiking Near Moab
Here’s a few photos from a recent hike near Moab, UT. I’m going to play with them a bit and see if any will work as a Profile Photo. I expect mockery from Charles…

Failed Point
Charles’ Failed Point is widely known across the country. Here yo can see my friend Brian emulating it for all. I fear for Charles sake, that it may be on its way to becoming a meme of some limited sort.

I illustrated the proper pointing technique just after this shot was taken, and you can see how well he did. I don’t know why Charles can’t get it?

Pointing Fail
My friends like to make fun of me because there are so many pictures of me pointing something out to students or fellow travelers. What can I say? I’ve got a lot of good information to share! But in defense of my pointing abilities, it would seem that it’s not something everyone can manage. I submit this image of my friend Charles, who very clearly has yet to master the technique:

Note my look of disgust and contempt. Don’t worry Chuck! Just keep practicing. You’ll get there!
