Comcrap Problems

My ongoing saga of sub-standard Comcast performance continues. I see a return to TiVo in my future. My recorded programs continuously stutter and drop data. I suppose it cound be a problem with the hard drive; but the motorolla unit in general seems poor, and there have been a lot of reports of similar problems. Now that I think about it, it could be software related though. Anyway, one problem I’ve encountered is that if you are recording and shut off the box off, when its turned back on the volume is muted and you cannot get it back. A workaround for the bug can be found on Adam Howitt’s blog. You’d think you could find something like this on Comcrap’s web site. Oh, and three people have used my tips for getting multiple machines connected to their wireless network (both Comcast and Time Warner) - so thanks for the thanks. ou’d think you could find something like this on Comcrap’s web site…
