Facebook and Zuckerberg

Given the prominence of Facebook and the number of folks who use it - I ask you - how much do you know about the history of Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg? I’m not talking about the drama surrounding the movie, although that has created an opportunity to learn even more as folks look into the reliability and validity of the lore behind Facebook. Robert Wright has written a piece published in the NYTimes that does a good job of analyzing the contributions (or not?) that Zuckerberg has made. In many ways, Zuckerberg is very reminiscent of Bill Gates. Smart? Sure! Lucky? Undoubtedly! Brilliant? Not so much…

I would be interested to know if any of your blog readers (or you) went to see this movie, and if so, what you thought of it?

Heh - I’d like to know that too! I have not seen the film - I think it’ll be a Netflix title for me. I’ve also not heard much conversation since it actually came out. I imagine it’s not getting a lot of viewers, but I haven’t checked to see how it’s doing…

No, I am a poor graduate student who waits for movies to be out of the regular theater but before they are on DVD so I can go to my $2 theater by my apartment. I do plan on seeing it when it reaches that point though.

Also I actually had read up on this fellow for some reason before there was ever a talk of a movie.

Apparently the stuff I have heard from people about the movie who have seen it is that it was underated and they loved it. (my sources are my friends and my local radio morning show.)
